Our founder, Millie Nagar, has been exploring the world of custom jewelry for several years after struggling to find her name in shops and jewelry lines that claimed to offer custom products. 

 

With a unique surname, Millie often found herself feeling let down when shopping around the world. Not only was it difficult to find her own name, but it was even more difficult to find her name in Hebrew, and a desire to celebrate her own rich culture only intensified. 

 

Having grown up in Miami, Millie knew all too well the realities of wearing her favorite pieces to the beach only to have them stain her skin as a result. She understood first hand that cheap quality materials quickly tarnish or cause skin reactions that ultimately ruin the enjoyment of expressing oneself through jewelry. 

 

However, amid these frustrations, Millie saw a great opportunity and was able to feed her passion for one-of-a-kind jewelry. When she couldn’t find her own custom name piece in Hebrew, Millie decided to take matters into her own hands and take on the challenge herself. After a long search for a trusted manufacturer, Millie finally saw her perfect, one-of-a-kind design come to life. 

 

It was then that she knew she wanted to share this gift with the world. With an eye for trends and fashion, Millie’s friends and family often sought her advice on new and unique styles to fit their own tastes, languages, and cultural backgrounds. She helped them build confidence in their design choices and find pieces that spoke to their identity so they could proudly show the world who they are.  

 

Over time, MILIM was born, and through that process, Millie cultivated a rich appreciation for high-quality, hand-crafted pieces that stand out in a crowd. Now, she wants to help you find affordable, custom jewelry pieces that allow you to be uniquely you.
